The RMS Wet Mateable Connectors share common technology used to give maximum performance when mated and demated in subsea environments.

These include:

• Bespoke, independent seals that perform
  the critical function of removing water
  molecules from the surface of the incoming
  male pin. These energised seals incorporate
  features to ensure that the seal remains
  efficient even after a number of years of exposure
• Flushing technology which actively flushes the male pin to remove water molecules entrained on the pin away from the electrical contact area
• A sump area which allows any entrained water to be secured in a part of the connector unaffected by the presence of water
• Conditioning material which ensures that the oil used for the next mate and break cycle is in pristine condition
• These features combine to ensure that there is the highest electrical integrity within the connector, even after a repeated number of mate and break cycles in a subsea environment
